12/19/2023 0 Comments Green hell xbox![]() The transfer of Green Hell to VR was handled by Incuvo Games. Previously, she was noted for the horror ports Layers of Fear and The Blair Witch. At the end of last year, People Can Fly bought the studio. We are greatly focused on creating outstanding experiences for gamers around the world through growing our teams, portfolio, and capabilities with the goal of becoming one of the biggest independent game development studios.Green Hell VR is the most challenging and authentic survival game for VR. It faithfully recreates the dangerous conditions of the Amazon jungle. When you find yourself alone and in a predicament, you will never feel safe. To survive, you will have to face your weaknesses. The fight against hunger, thirst and fatigue will become an integral part of your journey. Attacks of wild animals and tropical dangers can overtake you at any moment. Since you won’t get any help from the outside world, you’ll need to use your skills to craft tools and weapons, learn how to build shelters, and heal wounds. Finally, our VR-focused subsidiary, Incuvo, is adapting one of the IPs from our portfolio to VR platforms and they have just released Green Hell VR worldwide. Additionally, we have two new projects in the concept phase, Red and Victoria. We are also working on our first major game in self-publishing model – Project Bifrost. With Take-Two Interactive as publisher, we are working on a new action-adventure title under the codename Project Dagger. We will also use this knowledge for our future projects.Īs for what’s next for People Can Fly, besides Outriders we have a new project in development with Square Enix – Project Gemini. We are very aware of what was well-received, what needed to be tweaked and what went wrong. ![]() It was always our intention to incorporate players’ opinions into the process of shaping this IP. Some of that we already used developing New Horizon update, as well as for Worldslayer expansion. We got a lot of valuable feedback from players and media on the various stages of presenting the game to the public. What lessons from Outriders will you carry on to your future projects, whether they're in the same series or not? Is there anything specific you can reveal about what's next for PCF? On the top of that, yes, I think that subscription services can be beneficial for AAA games – it’s all matter of the right approach and predicting the market’s response, ergo: successful go-to-market strategy. Please remember that the terms of the deal are a matter of confidentiality between Square Enix and Microsoft, and we don’t have a direct insight into them. In case of Xbox Game Pass launch, we relied on the expertise of our publisher – and Square Enix decided that this partnership would be beneficial to the game in context of promoting the new IP and user base growth. Do you believe that's a contributing factor, and how do you view the process of launching a AAA game as a third party on Game Pass? There was some controversy about the game launching on Xbox Game Pass, whether that may have depressed sales. Every model can be used successfully if the game fits it, and you are able to provide high quality content. As PCF, we are always monitoring the market trends and apply them to the projects in our pipeline. It’s just one of the ways of delivering and monetizing the game. I wouldn’t say there is any fundamental flaw in live service model. I hope that Worldslayer DLC will satisfy all our fans waiting for new content. This was our vision for the Vanilla game, which I think we have always shared with Square Enix, and the game was developed with this in mind. Why was that decision made? Do you see a fundamental flaw with the current live service landscape that has seen a host of failed titles (i.e., Anthem)?Īs for the model, we were clear from the Day 1 that we want to deliver full-package game and full experience for the players with Outriders. It was patched and updated frequently, but it didn't have roadmaps or seasons, and has stuck with one Expedition update and one large DLC. From the start, PCF was adamant that Outriders was not a live service game.
